When I think of the great actor Tom Hanks in the Movie Forest Gump I have to chuckle just a little bit: especially when someone remarks about his intelligence. ” You’re not too smart are you Gump?” “Stupid as stupid can be, sir.” He answers. He was any thing but because he realized his limitations and worked with them and with in them. I in turn wish I had realized my own limitations instead of being so confident in my abilities.
In the month of September I was sent an email from a female in Cote d’ivoire, Africa stating that she would be interested in conducting business with me. I have a site on Alibaba.com before I knew what was happening she had professed to me her dear departed father had been murdered by the present regime in Cote d’Ivoire and that on his death bed he had disclosed to her that he had a secret account and she needed some one to help her activate this account and transfer it out of the country. She used all sorts of: you are now my new father God will bless you, I pray for you you must help me if you are true Christian or believer in humanity you get the idea. I was going to be “Kid Galahad in shining Armour.” The new Savior. More like the super idiot that every one claimed Gump was but he was smarter then every one of them.
This is how they work. First there are usually three of them not always but more times then not. If you have a Web Site they don’t usually contact you there. They go threw Business Web Sites where the selection is more abundant then they go through your profile. Likes dislikes etc they home in on your sympathies or your ambitions. They first approach you with: It would be good to find out more about what you do and have to offer. It is usually a female, young, who sends you this leading email. The soft sell nothing aggressive. The next step is to tell you a heart wrenching story of what has occurred in their life. Relating it to: ” Just turn on T.V. you see what’s happening in Africa I am a victim help me! Like a they were drown ding and going down for the last time.
Some of them would get Oscars if they took up the acting profession. Once they get attention by you returning an email with the simple question how can I be of help they know they’ve got you. Next comes let me introduce you to: One of the fallowing the Bank that doesn’t exit but has a Big Banks name or similar. Citizens PLC, HSBC of Cote d’Ivoire PLC official sounding but with no address just the City and country. If you call the lawyer they’re very friendly if you ask about the address the typical response is. Sir/Madame every one in the city knows who we are every thing comes directly here. If you ask for the Web Address they respond, they are either rebuilding it or it is down and won’t be back up until next week. If you think about it ,which I didn’t do, even if it is down or they are working it you would be directed to it if existed saying simply under construction etc. The third person is the one with the address usually the Secretary M/F this address might be real but it is a month to month or week to week. If you send it Western Union, they pick it up there. WU checks IDs but they’re not the Police and a good forgery is not hard to come by. In fact if you have Adobe and some decent paper you can make them look really official, this illegal in any country.
The Western Union people write down the information they might even make a copy but once that money is picked up it’s gone. Now you might say but every one has to register their information when they take an email address. You can tell them, email sponsor, any thing you want the information is never checked. The scammer just jumps to a new one. If you think that someone is actually legitimate call the American Embassy and find out where you can get more information on the Bank, Lawyer etc. There is also the 419 Code that you can look up on the Internet. Most times you’ll see the Banks name and or some ones name close to who claims to be the Attorney.
REV Doctor Maxwell I mean how could somebody with a name like that be a crook? Because they’ve got no scruples and you do that’s what they are counting on.
Insurance questions? I’ve included several links to my other blog pages to help clarify any questions you might have. I got into the business 20 + years ago because I got burned real bad several times by so called professionals that didn’t know their craft.

MCSPLST = MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE SPECIALIST BIG BIKE INSURANCE BIKE INSURANCE INSURANCE SPECIALIST FLORIDA’S INSURANCE SPECIALIST XTREME MACHINES SPECIALIST THE SOLUTIONS NETWORK ALL SOLUTIONS NETWORK
Want to insure your pride and joy correctly but don’t know what questions to ask? Here’s some of what you should know.
All bikes licensed must have Liability Insurance in order to maintain a license WITH A MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT NOTED OR STAMPED . That means a plate and a Drivers permit. Most states do not require uninsured but if you don’t have it your making a big mistake. The difference between Medical insure and Uninsured is medical will pay for almost any type of injury where uninsured only pays when the other person is at fault and does not have liability, in some states like Nevada when they don’t have enought to cover your injuries your uninsured will kick in secondary. Collision only pays in an accident not when your bike falls over because of wind etc. that’s comprehensive. With high cost bikes like Harley’s BMW etc you might want a special rider especially if you have some addional chrome or paintalso if it was not part of the stack bike if you don’t have it listed it’s not covered; like saddle bags that you added after you brought your bike. When you park your bike locking the forks slows down most thiefs but doesn’t stop them entirely. If you can’t gargage your bike alarm it and chain it to something that is solid. Yes they can cut the chain but if you chain it or cable it properly they won’t spend much time trying to take it because they can’t afford to be seen or heard. If you’re sure something is covered or not look at your declaration page if there’s no mention of it look at losses we don’t cover usually around page 13. If you’re still not sure call your agent or customer service representative. Don’t feel like you’re asking stupid questions what’s stupid is not asking questions that you’re not sure of and then finding out how stupid you were for not asking them.

That’s where the shock of reality hits and hits hard when you find out some or even most of your belongings are not covered. Your first reaction is anger which gives way to disbelief and eventually end up in total devastating heart break. And here you thought things couldn’t get any worse and it has, a lot worse.
What do you mean it’s not covered? You’ve heard the excuses I didn’t think you’d be interested you didn’t seem interested when I brought it up. You were in a hurry the last time I talked to you. You never asked me about it.
Folks there’s four basic types of policies in the U.S., though the states regulate the Property and Casualty lines and most of the health and life lines. The four types of polices are: Fire, Standard Homeowners, All risk home owners; if do not qualify for these for whatever reason the State Fair Plan or State Insurance Plan has comprehensive coverages at fair costs..With property and casualty it will tell around pages 12 to 14 in a normal policy booklet what it doesn’t cover if you don’t see it on the declaration page more then likely it isn’t. For instance if it’s a Fire policy special form it only covers Fire, collapse, ice wind. If you want anything else like personal belongs you have to ask for it, pay for it and have it stated on your policy, That goes for standard homeowners insurance. Meaning you get devaluated replacement not todays current market prices unless it is endorsed or you process a All Risk policy. An all risk policy is one that if it doesn’t state it’s not covered it is. Now let’s get to endorsements this goes for casualty as well as property. With property earthquake, and mud slide is not covered period it’s a separate policy endorsement, some places of the country don’t even offer it. Another one is flood it’s not covered and that means backup of water pipes, drains etc. , unless it bursts from freezing not wear and tear, including high tides, river over runs and the like. You must endorse flood the Government has a list of these companies or you can ask your agent but watch your coverages and make sure your personal property is covered as well and that goes for earthquake insurance if your Insurance company does not offer it. How about brush fires or houses in Brush fire areas? You can go to your neighbors and get them to agree to contact the local fire department to do a survey of your area. This cost some money that’s why you want to get the neighborhood involved. Once they do this the survey is available to the insurance companies get the reference number. Just because you do this doesn’t mean you’re going to be approved. Ask the fire department what’s the chances before you get real involved. Now for commercial and private homes, structures, if you can’t get normal coverage there’s The State Plan or fair plan. For houses that are of very high value that some companies do not want to cover because of where they are there’s what we call a wrap around policy that usually covers the top 30% because the Fair Plan only gives a 70% coverage. This is just a small synopsis of what insurance is. There’s Lot’s to know about insurance that’s why I got into the business I got burned real bad. Remember if you policy doesn’t say it’s covered more then likely it’s not. If your agent can’t tell you pick up the phone or Internet and find out by calling the company direct.

Medical Plan Specialist
By mcsplst
HMO vs. PPO know the difference?
Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) compared to Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO) Here’s a concise explanation.
The primary difference between a PPO and an HMO health insurance plan is that with a PPO you are free to get medical care from most any medical provider – regardless of whether the provider is a participating member of the PPO network your out pocket cost could be more with a PPO that is not in your network all depending on the wording of the policy. This plan is usually more expensive then an HMO because of the freedom of choice but your deductibles are higher. But you don’t need to wait for your Doctor to refer you to a certain specialist you can choose your own.
An HMO, on the other hand, requires you to select a “primary care physician” from the HMO network, who would be responsible for “maintaining your health”. This doctor would be responsible for referring you to other doctors for specialist care, from within the same HMO network. You cannot see a specialist without a referral from your primary care physician. This plan coincides with the French social security medical system.
You go to your primery doctor and he refers you to a specialist, or to a x ray technician etc. This sometimes takes a little longer then one would like but at least you know what to expect when you take the appointment with the specialist also some people like dealing with one Doctor who knows their family history plus the deductibles are a lot lower and sometimes there are none.
I look at it this way if you have a family of at least three or more I lean toward an HMO for the simple reason you will probably need to see a Doctor three or more times a year, per person. If your wife gets pregnant and one of your children has an accident the same year the costs could be devastating with an PPO, the costs would be minimal, if any with an HMO.
Still if you want to go the PPO route then do so but protect your self from out of pocket expenses by looking into a supplementary plan like Aflac, that’s right the duck insurance. They have plans that can help you with your expenses and usually pay a lump sum for certain accidents, injuries and sicknesses. You can find them on the web by typing in Aflac they are not only ones that provide these type of benefits they’re just the most recognized.
I hope this information has helped you. If you would like more info on the ups and downs just type PPO vs. HMO into your search box and you will get a list of articles.
Though I have been an insurance agent for over 23 years I am still learning every day especially with the Internet and all the information on it there is no excuse not to be informed.
I am a licensed Health Life representative and specialize in supplemental insurance and Workers Comp. Including Long Term Care, Medicare and Terminal Illness.

Auto Insurance Adviser

Most of us couldn’t wait to get our license when we turned the magic age that allowed us to obtain one in our state of residence. That was the fun part because our parents let us drive one of their cars. But when we got older we found that insurance was just one of the necessary expenses of maintaining a vehicle of some sort. For some they found that it was cost prohibitive so they either didn’t buy a vehicle or one sold the one they had, thinking that if we needed to go somewhere we could barrow someone else’s for that most people would think that all they needed was a valid driver license and that would be enough. (It’s not!) There is not a state in the union that does not require liability insurance if you have a valid drivers license. What? That’s right if you maintain a valid drivers license you must maintain liability insurance. Non-owners liability for an auto even if the person who you barrow the car from has the best policy you can buy. If you have an accident their policy comes into effect secondary yours is primary, that’s why you must have liability insurance, some states call it financial responsibility. Now if you’re biker and have just sold your bike and don’t plan on getting another for awhile strip down your policy to liability only because with a bike as an auto it is transferable to another motorcycle but not to a car and visa versa.
Now that you understand that you need liability insurance even if you do not possess a vehicle but you have a licence: the next step is how much liability do you need to carry? That’s easy how much do you stand to lose if you hit someone and you’re at fault or over 50 % at fault? If you’ve a house, business assets etc. you definitely want to consider the highest the company offers 100/300 250/500 500/1,000,000. or take minimum that your company will allow for you to have so you can put an extended liability rider, coverage, on all yourvehilesincluded your house. They usually start out at 1,000,000. and go up this coverage is not real expensive unless you’ve got youthful drivers in the household. Next coverage to think about is medical this pays no matter who is at fault and in most states it pays for most mishaps caused to the people in your vehicle. No you are required to carry medical you can waive it (not good idea)
Next is uninsured motorists, some states also include under-insured motorists with this coverage. That simply means if another driver hits you and causes medical injuries over and above their limits your uninsured motorists limits can be added to help cover the medical expenses of the people in your car. You can not have uninsured motorists limits higher then your liability limits. You can also waive this coverage(Bad idea)
Next is collision this coverage comes into effect in most states when it’s your fault, a hit run accident or you collide with another object an animal crossing the road IE. You can waive this coverage one reason would be the vehicle isn’t worth anything. Comprehensive. That is theft, fire, wind hail vandalism. Glass breakage in most states has to have a stated rider on it saying it is. Also be-aware if some breaks into your vehicle and steals something that is not part of the vehicle laptop and your leather jacket it is covered by your auto policy that is your homeowners, renters , condominium policies.
With some companies AAA for example towing is part of the policy. With others they have indemnity accidental death dismemberment riders you can have.
Remember if you’re not sure about a coverage ask your agent or call customer service. You’re not being stupid for asking a question you’re not sure about. You are being stupid when you don’t ask a question that is important to you and the well being of your family. That’s the Insurance agents/companies job to answer your questions not just sell you a policy.
